Robert Mugabe’s destruction of the once prosperous Zimbabwean economy has wiped out any existing or actively traded Zimbabwe ADRs and most foreign investors still avoid investing in the country. However, there may be South Africa ADRs or stocks, especially mining companies, that still have exposure to what is left of Zimbabwe’s economy.

The current Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) has its origins in a stock exchange founded in Bulawayo back in 1946 and the Rhodesia Stock Exchange Act of 1974.
