A list of frontier market ETFs consists of the Global X Next Emerging & Frontier ETF (NYSEARCA: EMFM) from Global X which tracks the Solactive Next Emerging & Frontier Index; the Claymore/BNY Mellon Frontier Markets ETF (NYSEARCA: FRN) from Guggenheim which tracks the Bank of New York Mellon New Frontier DR Index; and the iShares MSCI Frontier 100 (NYSEARCA: FM) from iShares which tracks the MSCI Frontier Markets 100 Index. However, investors will need to read all prospectuses and any other documentation to thoroughly understand how the underlying indices or the ETF managers themselves define an emerging market verses a frontier market as there is a lack of consistency amongst emerging market and frontier market indices and/or fund managers.
